MICHAEL KEOGH BIOGRAPHY
Michael began his career at the age of 21, he attended a local drama school and after 3 months of attending was signed by a local agent. He applied for the BBC Talent "Acting Up" scheme having only had 3 months of training.
BBC Talent was open to trained actors who had completed Drama School; Michael winged it and applied anyway. 12,000 trained actors were auditioned over a 9 month period, he was one of 10 actors to win the prestigious accolade.
Having worked consistently as an actor Michael's episode count is well over 50. He has appeared in various TV shows as a regular character, notably Spooks Code:9, The 4 O'Clock Club, a 3 month Stint in Emmerdale, Scott & Bailey, The Bill to name a few.
Michael has shared screen time with one of the greats of World Cinema MICHAEL CAINE, albeit a brief appearance he got to spend the day with Mr Caine and learned a lot from the 2 time Oscar winner.
In 2016 Michael had a scene with the legendary TIM ROTH in the LA Productions/BBC Drama "REG".
Michael made the move to LA in 2013 and spent 18 months there, he made some amazing friends and excellent contacts, and became SAG eligible. During his time in LA he delivered classes with American students, the feedback was fantastic. The highlight of his LA trip was 2 meetings for his dream role in STAR WARS, it sadly wasn't to be. Michael made the move back to the greatest city on earth MANCHESTER mid 2014 and has not looked back.
More recently Michael co-produced, cast and played the lead in the short film "Forbearance", alongside Seamus O'Neill, Robbie O'Neill (no relation) Sacha Parkinson & a wonderful 5 year old actor by the name of William Flanagan (watch out for him, he's going to be a big star) which was written & directed by 1st AD Jack Casey (Peaky Blinders, Cold Feet)
Forbearance will have a festival run and already many are saying it will be a huge hit. The short is about Alzheimers & care, a subject that is very close to Michael's heart.
